Moneybookers Update…. Success????

So its been a few days since I last updated about the whole moneybookers account hacked situation.  Basically they have been ignoring my emails and avoiding my questions about how transactions can possibly take place in under 3 seconds. I have tried calling, but everytime I get stuck on the phone with one of their RETARDED (I am not kidding… and I do not mean to offend anyone out there, but these people seriously have a few screws loose) staff that keep telling me to email.  They have no phone manners, talk over me all the time, and yell at ME the CUSTOMER!  Fuck you moneybookers!

Anyway, I finally got them to respond to an email this morning, but I have no idea what this means.  Anyone care to take a stab at this:

“Dear Mr. Rowlands,

We are contacting your with regards to your Moneybookers account. Please be kindly informed that we have received a confirmation back from the company that received the payments, sent out of your account without your authorization. You will receive a refund to your Moneybookers account, however, it will not be the full amount that was sent out. Please be advised that this is the best we could do, having in mind that there was a possibility that our requests were not granted. Moreover please be advised that it will take at least 7 business days, starting from today, for this refund procedure to be completed, due to the specific internal regulations of the company in question.

We hope you’ll find this information useful.

Best regards,

[Theodor]
The Moneybookers Team”

Notice how they still say nothing about the 3-second transactions!  I have emailed them for clarification.

Either way, I am gonna hold out on my smear campaign for now and wait to see what they have to say.  I could start posting the story everywhere, but I don’t want to jeopardize any chance of getting the money back just yet.  Regardless, protect yourself, change your moneybookers passwords regularly, if you don’t NEED moneybookers, don’t use them, just don’t let this happen to you!

  1. To me it sounds as if your trying to work your account out with someone who does not have a clear understanding or use of english….how do you only get partial payments, and what specific internal regulations do they have. I am dealing with paypal issues now for someone who obv has data entry issues. They processed two withdraws. when funds hit my account, the first amount was correct and the 2nd amount was $147.63 short. How does someone come up with that. So I have called my bank who has no clue what paypal is and said “maybe they didn’t have the funds to pay you” ..now I am waiting for a reply from paypal to see where I go on this one, since my bank says its not them.

    Good luck Graham

  2. Hmmm…. that sucks Cheryle. I was talking to LadyHoldem who had something similar but found out they were some old transactions that they did not bill her for until months later. Maybe that is the case. Either way, hope it works out!

  3. Maybe the topic is already forgotten, yet…
Come on! If you do not know how to protect your account and login details, it’s your own fault… In case the funds sent via the unauthorised transactions have already left the company’s bank account, what is the poor support to blame for? You expect someone to refund you from their own salary or what? Next time have a better look at the T and C, when singing in for an account somewhere… And try walking in the customer service representative’s shoes before putting the blame on them…

  4. You are obviously mentally challenged, or just didn’t read my first post. Did you see the times between the transactions??? Explain that genious! I know it was an internal moneybookers thing and I am smart enough to protect my own account. I have way better things to do then try and rip companies off for small amounts of money.

  5. I have just been hacked. SOmeone broke into my Moneybookers account and sent all my money to moneybookers@skype.com.
My fault is that I havent changed my password for a long time, and I have left my money there for quite a while. Now I have to wait for their UK office to open so I can call them, but I guess they will say the same old song as I have read from someone here: Your fund has already left our system so we can do nothing to help you.
